Allied membership is open to engineers, landscape architects, planners, artists, those in government, journalism, education, manufacturing, industry, and other fields associated with architecture. Individuals must not be eligible for membership in the Institute.

AIA Central Virginia serves over 200 members who work and learn in 90+ local firms and businesses and 2 universities in the counties surrounding Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, and Staunton. The Allied Membership Program is a cost-effective way for your company to connect with our members and develop the relationships needed to enhance your position as an industry leader - while supporting the programs that benefit our growing profession and community.

AIA Central Virginia Allied Members receive a variety of benefits relevant to businesses in the design and construction industry: visibility, networking and promotional opportunities, and recognition as an individual and company that shares AIA Central Virginia’s commitment to the built environment. Benefits of Allied Membership include:

● Regular networking opportunities with more than 200 local AIA architect members through our events.

● Invitation to Component programs and events at member prices (most events are free).

Cost of Allied Membership is $350 per year, per person

Additionally, Allied Members can highlight their interests and show support for AIA through additional sponsorship opportunities - through general support, or for specific single-event basis.

Additional Sponsorship Opportunities include:

● Recognition as a Named Sponsor for relevant events or presentations: Awards, Lunch and Learns, Socials.

● Host a Lunch and Learn or Social at your business, or a recently-completed project.

● Up to (2) attendees can attend sponsored social events (4) Seasonal Socials, (6) Revit User Group Meetings, (6) Lunch and Learns (LU presentations or Tours), and up to (10) Emerging Professional Lunches.
