Session Description:
This session introduces attendees to a wide array of AI applications currently being leveraged in architectural practice, from assisting in the rendering process to helping digest large volumes of code and design guideline data for quicker interpretation, while being mindful of office policies, sustainability, and ethics. Rather than focusing on step-by-step instructions, this presentation offers an inspiring overview of tools and strategies, showing what’s possible today and what’s on the horizon. Attendees will leave with a toolkit of ideas and resources for experimenting with AI in their own practice.
Learning Objectives:
1. Recognize a broad range of current and emerging use cases for AI tools in architectural practice, including visualization, documentation, and data analysis.
2. Describe the general capabilities of various AI platforms and their potential roles in architectural workflows.
3. Identify key ethical, sustainability, and privacy issues related to AI adoption in design firms and public institutions.
4. Assess the value of AI tools for their ability to improve creativity, efficiency, and decision-making in everyday task management.
