VANOMA Diversity ARE Scholarship: DUE!

  • AIA Central Virginia P.O. Box 1045 Charlottesville, VA 22902 United States (map)

The Virginia Chapter of the National Organized Minority Architects is committed to increasing the number of licensed minority Architects within the industry. We know the high cost of the architectural licensure examinations and study materials can be a barrier to our members. The purpose of this scholarship is to support minority associates and underrepresented emerging professionals with financial assistance to complete their exams. Students eligible for licensure exams are also welcome to apply.

This scholarship is geared towards both first time test takers and in-progress test takers. You are encouraged to apply regardless of your testing progress. Up to two award winners will be selected for a reimbursement award of $750 each. This award can be spent on both exam seats and study materials.

There are only 4 eligibility requirements, as there is no longer a requirement for NOMA(S) membership:

  1. Must be eligible to sit for the ARE

  2. Register for at least one exam within 1 year of receiving award

  3. Must live and/or work in Virginia

  4. Must identify as a minority

Deadline Extended!! - Application due June 30th
