Dalgliesh Gilpin Paxton Architects showcases the completion of the Virginia Discovery Museum’s Literacy Lounge redesign, one of two projects awarded the AIA Central Virginia inaugural 2025 ‘Do Good’ Grant!
Architect Ashley Falwell of DGP Architects teamed up with Virginia Discovery Museum Director of Operations, Lindsay Jones, to transform this educational space in support of early literacy (ages 0-8).
After months of planning & design and four days of intense installation, volunteers and museum staff added:

📖 A whimsical new reading nook
🎨 A colorful faux-bookshelf mural
